Current disclosure position
Top Student Discount may display advertising or use affiliate links in the future. The site is designed to remain content-first and useful to students regardless of monetization. If a link is sponsored or affiliate-based, it should be disclosed clearly where appropriate.
At launch, some pages may link directly to official provider pages without compensation. These links are included because they help students verify eligibility and apply through the correct official channel.
Advertising and AdSense
The site may apply for Google AdSense or similar advertising programs. Advertising should not be placed in a way that misleads readers, imitates navigation, hides content, or encourages accidental clicks. The content should remain the primary reason the page exists.
Ad placement should preserve a healthy content-to-ad ratio. Trust pages, privacy information, editorial policy, and contact information should remain easy to find.
Affiliate relationships
If affiliate programs are used, a purchase or signup through a link may generate compensation. That does not mean the product is automatically recommended. Editorial content should still explain value, eligibility, and limitations.
We should not hide important restrictions because of an affiliate relationship. If an offer has difficult verification, limited country support, a high failure rate, or uncertain renewal rules, those facts should still be stated clearly.
Sponsored content
Sponsored content, if accepted, should be labeled. A sponsored relationship should not remove the need for factual accuracy. Sponsored providers may submit official information, but editorial presentation should still prioritize students and should not imply approval is guaranteed.
Users should always confirm terms on the official provider site before applying for any student discount.
